A closed-door consultative meeting took place at the level of Arab foreign ministers at the Arab League headquarters. Soon after Arab foreign ministers met in Cairo and agreed to readmit Syria as a member state of the Arab League.

The Arab League formally suspended Syria’s membership on November 16, 2022.

Jordan appears to be ramping up its efforts to support this AL regional stability plan through air strikes on Hezbollah militant controlled drug production factory along the western countryside of Daraa and counter drug smuggling operations from Assad/ Hezbollah controlled areas in Syria.

Soon after the Arab League actions the European commission has stated that there will be no normalization of relations with the Pro-Assad forces without a political solution in accordance with UN resolutions.
